The picker will pick a wide variety of things using requisitions and order sheets, place and arrange items in containers and bins according to specified directions, and arrange containers on pallets. The picker will inspect the containers for damage and ensure that the correct items and quantities are selected. You will carry out your responsibilities in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are proper and defect-free. You will operate a forklift, perform equipment maintenance, conduct physical inventory, and report quality discrepancies. (fermegbjinc.ca)

Fruit Picker Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining clean, neat, and well-organized work spaces.
2. Taking inventory, packing incoming supplies, and reporting shortages.
3. Maintaining records of all incoming and leaving shipments.
4. Orders are picked up as directed by management.
5. Sealing and labeling containers, ensuring order accuracy, and signing pick tickets to confirm.
6. Ensure that correct shipping information is attached and that finished orders are moved to the shipment area.
7. Containers are placed on pallets and secured with stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strapping.
8. Totes, jacks, and forklifts are used to load and unload trucks.
9. OSHA and other safety rules must be followed.
10. Assisting in the maintenance of warehouse security.

Fruit Picker Requirements:

1. 1+ years of experience in a similar job is required.
2. Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
3. Ability to work well with a wide spectrum of people.
4. Tool proficiency is necessary for this employment.
5. Physical agility and dexterity.
6. Excellent organizing skills.

High employment

Hourly salary: $18.00-$20.19
