Detail of India Independence Day is given below

On August 15, 1947, India gained independence from the reigns of the 200-year-old British dominion. This day is noteworthy because it marks the beginning of India’s independence path away from the arduous British rule and towards becoming a democratic sovereign nation. On this day, the Tricolour is flown around the country, at homes and businesses, and the national song is sung.

In the midst of all the joy and celebration, there is some misunderstanding and doubt over whether the country is commemorating its 76th or 77th Independence Day.

Independence Day 2023: 76th or 77th?

According to the PIB, India gained independence on August 15, 1947, and will commemorate its 77th Independence Day in 2023. This year marks the 76th anniversary of Indian independence, while the first celebration was celebrated a year earlier, in 1948.

As a result, India will mark its 77th Independence Day and 76th Independence Day celebration in 2023. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) is the Government of India’s principal office for disseminating information to the print and electronic media about government policies, plans, initiatives, and accomplishments.

The theme for this year’s Independence Day is “Nation First, Always First” as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” event. There are various activities and festivities planned for the day before and on August 15. On Friday, August 11, Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar launched the ‘Har Ghar Tirganga’ campaign on a bike with MPs from Pragati Maidan.

Good morning and Happy 77th Independence Day to all of my esteemed instructors and close friends.

Today, as we commemorate our 77th year of independence, we should be grateful to be citizens of an independent nation where we have free speech and the freedom to live our lives as we see fit.

India gained independence on August 15, 1947, after over 200 years of British rule and a sustained battle by our liberation fighters.

On this day, our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, unfurled and raised the national flag on Red Fort Delhi. Every year since then, every government agency, school, and college has celebrated Independence Day. So, on this great day, let us take the vow and promise ourselves that we will always safeguard our nation by maintaining brotherhood, helping others, and educating ourselves.

Finally, I want to wish you all a happy Independence Day and hope that we can work together to develop a magnificent nation.
