Magha Gupt Navratri 2023: Puja Vidhi And Mantra
The Magha Gupt Navratri puja vidhi is the same as it is for any other Navratri. People who observe the Gupt Navratri festival fast and worship the goddess Durga both during the day and at night.
On various days of the Magha Navratri, the other manifestations of the goddess are worshipped. People follow a fast until the evening of the ninth day, at which point they visit their daughters to wish them health.
A Maa Durga idol is set up on the first day, also known as Ghatasthapana. The idol is draped in a red fabric and embellished by devotees with a variety of colourful flowers, rice, dhoop, chunri, bindis, bangles, and incense sticks. During the puja, they say the Durga Mantra 108 times. The duration of this ceremony is nine days, from Pratipda to Navami. After completing the puja rites, they undergo stringent fasts during which they are only permitted to consume one meal.
