Lightning and late-afternoon storms on Saturday prevented the Cup Series garage from opening in time for the Coke Zero Sugar 400.
The scheduled 7:46 p.m. ET green flag time at the 2.5-mile Florida circuit was delayed due to the persistent rain.
Teammates Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports will share the front row at the front of the 37-car field when the race actually begins.
The NASCAR Rule Book was used to determine the field after Friday’s scheduled qualifying session was a washout. Larson and Elliott were placed first and second in the performance metrics calculation.
