Like Halloween approached, it’s not unusual to see people dressed up as Michael Myers from the legendary horror film. However, a Texas courthouse is the last location you’d expect to see the Halloween killer.

That didn’t stop one attorney from copying Myers on Friday as he was in court representing clients at the Galveston County Courthouse.

Attorney Mark Metzger reportedly appeared at the courts wearing the legendary white mask and black suit only after a judge “triple dog dared” him to do so, according to KPRC, KSAT’s sister station.

“Challenge accepted, Judge,” was his reply.

According to Metzger, “My clients all enjoyed it.” Hearings today weren’t particularly important. The majority of cases were being dismissed or otherwise postponed, which made the courtrooms’ “climate” cheerful and conducive to my clients having a little fun.

I would have been dressed professionally if today had been an important trial case or a motions hearing.

Metzger has started to wear the Michael Myers costume repeatedly, so this is not a surprise. According to a September KPRC report, Metzger was arrested by authorities after being seen walking along Galveston beach while wearing a Myers costume and holding a bloody knife.

He was given a citation for disorderly conduct once it was discovered that the knife was a fake.
