The Corporate Security Director will be responsible for the physical and intellectual asset security, as well as strategy, across all OCA sites. This position will provide assistance to all business units in the Americas region, including physical locations and field-based business units.
This person will ensure that suitable physical / supply chain security planning procedures are in place to safeguard people, property, and brand. This job will develop, execute, and monitor policies for the OCA Organization(s)’ key physical/supply chain security activities, such as travel security-duty of care, physical security, supply chain security, asset protection, and so on.
This job will be responsible for strategically leading and championing the entire strategy for Security Operations throughout the OCA region, including all compliance areas, in order to guarantee the installation and maintenance of OCA’s security systems and programs across all business units.
The successful applicant will maintain a strong customer focus, develop targets, and track progress toward goals. Furthermore, the incumbent will use discretion in planning and organizing work, assessing staff performance, and utilizing best practices.
Job Duties
Establishes the overarching plan. Vision, roadmap, and leadership are required to effectively manage the enterprise security operation, as well as operational programs such as (SCM Physical Security, Travel Security, Duty of Care, External Guard Services, Companywide Training, Emergency procedures, and incident responses between enterprise security and EHS departments, CTPAT, and so on).
Executive-level decision support is provided through both informal and formal ways, such as executive-level metrics, dashboards, risk analysis and mitigation, and reporting.
In accordance with business policy requirements, provide OCA EXCOM stakeholders with timely and suitable information, best practices, and advice on supply chain security compliance issues.
Ensure effective communication and assistance is provided to both onsite and field staff during crisis situations (e.g., weather, civil unrest, site closures, etc.) by leading the region’s mass notification program (Everbridge).
Work cross-functionally with leadership to manage and coordinate security initiatives that correspond with cyber security, compliance, regulatory, operational, corporate, and legal goals.
Maintain expert-level expertise on best practices for security programs and stay up to date to prevent security breaches.
Conduct investigations and develop action plans as needed for Enterprise Security.
Lead and assist security and business specialists in charge of regulatory and internal supply chain security programs across Olympus.
Qualifications required for the job:
A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, security, or a closely related discipline is necessary, with an MBA desirable.
Knowledge of security best practices, as established via a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the security business, and supply chain security, including subject matter expertise for technical, physical, and electronic protection systems.
Preferred:
To grasp the effect and sensitivity of security concerns, you must have strong critical thinking and analytical abilities, managerial experience, and great relationship management skills.
A thorough awareness of current and upcoming security industry standards, technologies, and systems.
Capability to create and manage entire life-cycle implementations of core physical security programs, including the formulation of policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, strategies, and tactical deployment of security technology.
Ability to successfully convey security initiatives, projects, choices, and information at all levels of the organization.
Capability to cooperate cross-functionally with other Olympus groups, teams, and stakeholders to develop organizational security programs and practices.
Strong understanding of access control, CCTV, safety, and intrusion detection systems.
Experience strategically leading, managing, and supporting supply chain physical security and regulatory compliance programs on a regional and/or worldwide scale.
Experience leading critical supply chain security regulatory programs such as TAPA, CTPAT, AEO, and other trade compliance security projects.
Comprehensive understanding of all US security import control requirements, as well as strategic expertise with North American and European legislation, external audits, and customs agencies.
Ability and willingness to remain on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to company-related security incidents.
