In this capacity, you play a crucial part in providing a high-quality experience to callers and individuals with whom you contact. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is available Monday through Friday. Employees must be available to work any of our eight-hour shift schedules between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. CST. Given the nature of the business, it may be essential to work some overtime.

We are offering 5 weeks of paid training beginning November 13, 2023. The training hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. The remaining 7 weeks are for on-the-job training (OJT). Schedules will be adjusted to their usual shift during our operational hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm CST, Monday through Friday, throughout this OJT time. Training will take place electronically from the comfort of your own home.

Telecommuters must follow the Telecommuter Policy of UnitedHealth Group.

Principal Responsibilities of United Healthcare jobs (Customer Service Representative):

  • Answer incoming client phone calls and determine the sort of help required (i.e., benefit, eligibility, authorizations for treatment, and claims).
  • While documenting needed information in computer systems, ask relevant questions and actively listen to identify particular queries or difficulties.
  • Own the problem from start to finish on behalf of the caller in real-time, or extensive and fast follow-up with the provider
  • Review and investigate incoming healthcare claims from providers (doctors, clinics, etc.) by accessing different computer systems and platforms in order to offer revisions to providers’ documents/certificates).
  • To address concerns, communicate and engage with providers, using plain, basic language to assure comprehension.
  • Meet the position’s performance goals in terms of efficiency, accuracy, quality, customer satisfaction, and attendance.
  • This job will receive and manage 50-60 provider calls every day.
  • The provider calls from UHN and non-UHN networks (custom provider network inquiries from UMR medical provider clients such as hospitals and clinics)
  • Handles one-of-a-kind customized workplace benefit programs

Qualifications required for United Healthcare jobs:
